But I am excited to see him and kind of hung out and watched him work. I have probably seen more than I even know, but I don't come to the table with a pre-conceived notion of him. I've seen movies, I have seen Dolores Claiborne, Carrie, Pet Sematary. How much Stephen King had you read prior to joining Under The Dome, and how does meeting the man alter your sense of him? I think it's easier and I think it's much less of a burden on the writing staff. ![]() It works excellently in a procedural model, but with thirteen, you can actually hold attention. it's a story-telling model that I am attracted to and I can't exactly say why, but I think 22, 26 episodes a year is tough. Maybe that's not quite the way to say it, but it lends itself to. The 13-episode model lends itself to a more serialised format, which is nice and gives writers a chance to breathe some space into it. ![]() I think television is changing in exciting ways. It's a long way from a procedural crime drama. This is a short-order event series which is parts sci-fi and mystery. You're best known for playing Detective Don Flack on CSI: NY. I mean, she's hot, so that probably has something to do with it. But the why's and wherefore's I haven't been clued into yet. He is going to become involved with Julia and that will lend itself to problems with Barbie. It looks like there is a potential romance with Julia, which will put Sam in a love triangle with Julia and Barbie. How's that? I can tell you that he carries her visions, and I don't know that he shared them. A very wise journalist once told me, never say "I don't know" in an interview and there I go. Can we expect Sam to be keyed into the mystery of the dome in the same way? We know that Sam's sister had visions about the stars falling. I think the nature of people trapped lends itself to fun. So it was that experience, I had the binge experience. I've also binge-watched The Americans since and I think it's great because you can go do it, and it's satisfying in the way that eating an entire tub of ice-cream is satisfying, but at some point you stop tasting what you are eating and you are just like, f-k yeah, I'm eating, f-k yeah, this is great. I didn't allow myself to really think about it. Given all of the first season covered only two weeks, and you watched it essentially in one session, what is your take on binge-watching TV shows?
